I have been making things since I can remember. I’ve never wanted to do just one thing, so I make paintings, photographs, sculpture, tofu, and the occasional bass riff.

I seem to have no way of staying in one lane artistically and remain excited when discovering new ways of working, new materials and ways to combine them, finding their qualities and possibilities by trial and error.

Within the realm of paint, my styles are varied, appearing at times, as if made by more than one painter. Within photography I lean heavily toward street shots, but have an affinity for the natural world as well, studying trees and the sky through the lens. Perhaps the roots of the cloud series can be found in the many photographs I have taken of random cloud formations at various times of day, with a variety of light conditions, in DIFFERENT parts of the world, from both the ground and from above, through the thick and distorted glass of airplane windows.

Travel informs my work, seeing people and landscapes from new perspectives allows my worldview to expand, hopefully translating that into this work for the viewer.
